To qualify for household goods import, your belongings need to have been your personal property and in use for at least 12 months before you leave for Egypt – this isn’t a formality Egyptian customs skips. You’ll also need a newly dated entry stamp, no more than 6 months old, at the point your shipment clears.
Customs clearance typically takes 7–10 business days once full paperwork is in place, and Egyptian customs do not accept handwritten inventories – every item needs to be typed and itemised.
