Thunder, lightning and the Milky Way…

Containerized shipping has seemingly been around forever. It’s long been the main staple for getting goods from one side of the world to the other. We at GMS organize thousands of such containers every year. It may all seem very mundane and unglamorous, but we challenge you to not be amazed by this 30-day time-lapse video through the open waters.

This journey traverses southeast Asia, going from the Red Sea through the Indian Ocean, Malacca Strait and through to Singapore and finally, Hong Kong. It shows how even one section of the globe can feel immensely huge. Watch as every sunrise and sunset speeds along this month-long voyage. It captures crystal clear shots of the milky way that you wouldn’t think possible.

80,000 photos combined, is what it took to make this 10 minute video. It definitely deserves your attention.

“Sailing in the open ocean is a unique feeling and experience. I hope to capture and share it for everyone to see.”
